Lidded Canister
Chrome-Yellow Paint 

Probably New England, possibly Ohio, ca. 1840.

Worn chrome-yellow painted. I believe this is not Ohio-Pease, rather an earlier form from New England. Slow-lathe turned from maple with integral finial.

Excellent condition save for a hairline on the top of the canister (not lid). About 5 5/8 inches tall. Nice piece of painted treen.
